For packaged foods, it’s helpful to first look at the nutritional values.
The nutrition information is a distinction between carbohydrates and sugar this difference is not relevant for you. Carbohydrates are carbohydrates!
As a good guideline you can remember to only take foods that do not exceed 10g of carbohydrates per 100g.
Also important is the relationship between fat, protein and carbohydrates. Your daily calories should consist of 75% healthy fats, 20% proteins and 5% carbohydrates.
